Privacy Policy — Laser Grid Untangle
Laser Grid Untangle ("the App", "we", "us") is developed by Baybars Interactive ("the Developer"). This policy explains what data the App processes, why, and what choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
The App does not require an account or registration to play. We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number directly. The following is collected through the third-party services described in Section 2:
- Device and advertising identifiers — used to serve and measure ads, and to keep app usage analytics from double-counting a device.
- App usage and interaction data — which screens are opened, gameplay events (e.g. level completions), session length. Collected in aggregate, not tied to your identity.
- Crash and diagnostic data — automatically captured if the App crashes or errors, to help us fix the problem. May include device model, OS version, and the state of the App at the time of the crash.
- Google Play Games profile ID — only if you have a Google Play Games account linked on your device, used to show your name and score on the leaderboard. If you have never linked Play Games to this app, sign-in fails silently and no leaderboard data is collected.
- Gameplay progress and settings — which levels you have completed, your star ratings and best times, your daily streak, and your sound/language/accessibility preferences. Stored on your device. If you are signed in to Google Play Games, your progress is also backed up to your own Google account through Play Games Saved Games, so it can be restored after a reinstall or on another device. It is not uploaded to a server we control.
- Purchase history — if you buy Remove Ads, Google Play records the purchase against your Google account. The App reads whether you own it so it can stop showing interstitial ads. We never see or store your payment details; the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play.
We do not collect your location, camera, microphone, or contacts — the App does not request any of these permissions.
2. Third-Party Services We Use
- Firebase Analytics (Google) — app usage analytics. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — crash reporting. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Unity LevelPlay (ad mediation) — serves interstitial and rewarded ads, and may route your ad request through one of several partner ad networks configured on our mediation dashboard. Unity's privacy policy: https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — collects and stores your advertising-consent choice (see Section 3). Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Play Games Services — leaderboards and cloud save, if you have Play Games linked. Saved progress is stored in your own Google account's app storage. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Play Billing (via Unity IAP) — processes the Remove Ads purchase and tells the App whether you own it. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Each of these may process data according to its own privacy policy, linked above.
3. Advertising and Your Consent Choices
The App shows ads to support free play. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, a consent dialog is shown before your first ad, through a certified Consent Management Platform (Google's UMP). Your choice determines whether you see personalized or non-personalized ads.
You can change your choice at any time: open the App, go to Pause → Settings, and look for Privacy Options near the bottom (shown only if it applies to your region).
If you are in California or another U.S. state with an applicable privacy law, you may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your data for advertising purposes; this is also handled through the same consent flow where it applies.
4. Children's Privacy
Laser Grid Untangle is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us using Section 10 below and we will remove it.
5. Data Retention
We retain analytics and crash data for as long as needed to understand app usage and fix problems, subject to the retention periods of the third-party services in Section 2. Locally stored gameplay data stays on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data.
6. Data Security
We rely on the security practices of the third-party services listed above and follow standard mobile development practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the data associated with your device/account
- Request correction or deletion of that data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw advertising consent at any time (Section 3)
- Opt out of the sale/sharing of your data (Section 3, U.S. state privacy laws)
To exercise these rights for data held by Google/Firebase/Unity directly, use their own privacy tools linked in Section 2. To contact us about anything else, see Section 10.
8. International Data Transfers
The services in Section 2 may process and store data outside your country of residence, including in the United States, under their own respective safeguards.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the App changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
