Privacy Policy — Pixel Logic
Pixel Logic ("the App", "we", "us") is developed by Baybars Interactive ("the Developer"). This policy explains what data the App processes, why, and what choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
The App does not require an account or registration to play. We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number directly. The following is collected through the third-party services described in Section 2:
- Device and advertising identifiers — the Android advertising ID (when your device provides it), an app-instance identifier created by Firebase, and similar identifiers from our ad and purchase services. Used to serve and measure ads, to prevent fraud, and to keep app usage analytics from double-counting a device.
- App usage and interaction data — which screens are opened, gameplay events (puzzle starts, completions and abandonments, theme and difficulty, whether a hint was used, time taken, tutorial steps, ad and purchase results), session length, and your interactions with ads. We do not link this to your name or contact details.
- Approximate location — we never ask for your location. The advertising, analytics and purchase services we use estimate a rough location (country or region) from your device's IP address.
- Crash and diagnostic data — automatically captured if the App crashes or errors, to help us fix the problem. May include device model, OS version, performance information, and the state of the App at the time of the crash.
- Gameplay progress and settings — which puzzles you have completed, your best times and gold stars, an unfinished puzzle you can continue, and your sound, theme, language and accessibility preferences. Stored only on your device. It is not uploaded to a server we control.
- Purchase history — if you buy Remove Ads, Google Play records the purchase against your Google account. The App reads whether you own it so it can stop showing banner and interstitial ads. We never see or store your payment details; the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play.
The App does not request permission to use your precise location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files. Its Android permissions are for internet access, the advertising ID, Google Play purchases and vibration feedback (the vibration setting is stored only on your device).
2. Third-Party Services We Use
- Unity LevelPlay (ad mediation) — serves banner, interstitial and rewarded ads, and may route your ad request through one of the partner ad networks configured on our mediation dashboard (currently Google AdMob and Unity Ads). Unity's privacy policy: https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Google AdMob — ad network used through LevelPlay. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Unity Ads — ad network used through LevelPlay. Unity's privacy policy: https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — collects and stores your advertising-consent choice (see Section 3). Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Firebase Analytics (Google) — app usage analytics. Starts once the consent step has been resolved (Section 3). Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — crash reporting. Starts once the consent step has been resolved (Section 3). Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Play Billing (via Unity In-App Purchasing and Unity Gaming Services) — processes the Remove Ads purchase and tells the App whether you own it. Unity's services start once the consent step has been resolved. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy; Unity's privacy policy: https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
Each of these may process data according to its own privacy policy, linked above.
3. Advertising and Your Consent Choices
The App shows ads to support free play. Watching a rewarded ad for a hint is always optional. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, a consent dialog is shown before any ad, through a certified Consent Management Platform (Google's UMP). Your choice determines whether you see personalized or non-personalized ads. Until the consent step has been resolved, the App does not request ads and does not start analytics or crash reporting.
Analytics and crash reporting are part of how the App works. They have no on/off switch in the App, and they run whichever advertising choice you make, including when you decline personalized ads. We use them to find and fix problems and to tune puzzle difficulty. If you do not want this data collected, do not use the App, or reset or delete your Android advertising ID in your device settings. Your advertising choice is separate: it only controls how ads are personalized.
You can change your choice at any time: open the App, go to Settings, and look for Privacy options (shown only if it applies to your region). Settings can be opened from the main menu or from the pause menu during a puzzle.
If you are in California or another U.S. state with an applicable privacy law, you may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your data for advertising purposes; this is also handled through the same consent flow where it applies.
4. Children's Privacy
Pixel Logic is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us using Section 10 below and we will remove it.
5. Data Retention
We retain analytics and crash data for as long as needed to understand app usage and fix problems, subject to the retention periods of the third-party services in Section 2. Locally stored gameplay data (your progress, settings, and ownership of Remove Ads) stays on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data.
6. Data Security
We rely on the security practices of the third-party services listed above and follow standard mobile development practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the data associated with your device
- Request correction or deletion of that data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw advertising consent at any time (Section 3)
- Opt out of the sale/sharing of your data (Section 3, U.S. state privacy laws)
To exercise these rights for data held by Google/Firebase/Unity directly, use their own privacy tools linked in Section 2. To ask us to delete the analytics data tied to your device, or for anything else, write to us (Section 10) and tell us which device it is; we may need your app-instance identifier or advertising ID to find it.
8. International Data Transfers
The services in Section 2 may process and store data outside your country of residence, including in the United States, under their own respective safeguards.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the App changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
